Light Therapies

Weber Endolaser

Laser therapies are medical treatments that use focused light. Unlike most light sources, light from a laser is tuned to specific wavelength and focused into a powerful beam. Laser light is effective in healing many ailments, diseases and disorders. Within each cell are photoreceptors that are able to absorb specific wavelengths (colors) of light. The specified light stimulus gives a cellular signal affecting the chemical behavior, metabolism, movement and gene expression of that cell.

At Wildwood Integrative Healthcare, we use the Weberneedle® Endo Laser for low-level laser therapies.

Topically

Each of the wavelengths of light is designed to generate particular effects on the body.

RED – Very effective of the stimulation of the immune system and improve blood viscosity.

GREEN – Binds to hemoglobin and improves the function, behavior and cell elasticity of red blood cells. It also is very successful in increasing oxygen delivery within the body, while decreasing lactic acid.

BLUE – Releases nitric oxide (NO) within the body. Nitric oxide is known to be a growth, immune and neuromodulator. It also stimulates stem cell production. The blue light is also very effective in acting as an anti-inflammatory and helps to treat infections because of its bactericidal effects, and also has many anti-aging benefits.

YELLOW – Improves serotonin and vitamin D production, aids in detoxification and has very positive effects on the body’s hormones. Yellow light is also proven to have very strong anti-depressive effects and an overall positive influence on the general mood.

ULTRAVIOLET – Ultraviolet blood irradiation has been shown to strengthen the immune system and improve the overall health of the patient. Ultraviolet blood irradiation has been shown to have many beneficial effects on the body, including:

  • Increasing oxygen absorption into body tissues
  • Destroys fungal, viral and bacterial growth
  • Improves circulation
  • Decreases platelet accumulation
  • Improves the body’s ability to detoxify and inactivate or remove toxins
  • Activation of Vitamin D production

Interstitial Laser Therapy

The specially developed fiberoptic light guide (Weberneedle® Lasercath) is utilized for interstitial laser therapy in order to irradiate deep tissue.

Areas of Application

  • Chronic spinal diseases
  • Slipped disks
  • Scar pain after disk surgery
  • Spinal stenosis
  • Nerve lesions
  • Deep inflammation of tendons
  • Strains

RED – Increases cell activity and microcirculation, and supports regeneration of damaged tissue structures.

GREEN, BLUE and YELLOW – Unlike external laser therapy this intraarticular method also allows green, blue and yellow lasers to be applied deep inside the tissue. These colors have been effective at providing anti-imflammatroy effects including treatment of pain connected to inflammation and swellings, effective in wound-healing and immediate reduction of acute pain.

Intravenous Laser Therapy

Direct laser blood irradiation with the Weberneedle® Endo Laser.

Areas of Application

  • Diabetes mellitus
  • Chronic liver and kidney diseases
  • Lipid metabolic disorder
  • Heart diseases
  • Chronic shoulder syndromes
  • Allergies and eczema
  • Improved performance in sports
  • Polyneuropathy
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Rheumatism
  • Hypertension
  • Tinnitus
  • Macula degeneration
  • Multiple Sclerosis
  • Depression
  • Burnout
  • CFS (chronic fatigue syndrom)
  • Panic attacks and anxiety disorder
  • Lyme disease

RED

  • ATP increase
  • Improvment of immunologic activity
  • Enhancement of immunoglobulin production
  • Reduction of pathologic circulating immune complexes and reduction of CRP in patients with acute and chronic inflammations
  • Stimulation of interleukin-1-alpha, interleukin 8, TNF-alpha and Interferon-gamma (wound healing)
  • Activation of phagocytic activity of macrophages in combination with structural modifications
  • Increase of lymphocyte activity: Rise in number of lymphocytes and positive effects on helper T cells and suppressor T cells
  • Positive effects on rheological properties of blood
  • Increase of cell activity and microcirculation
  • Increase of oxygen amount in the blood
  • Stimulation of metabolism
  • Calming of nerves and heart rhythm
  • Muscle relaxation
  • Fat reduction and cholesterol reduction

GREEN

  • Improvement of function and cell elasticity of erythrocytes
  • Stimulation of sodium-potassium ATPase activity
  • Increase of Fibroblast growth and improvement of glucose metabolism
  • Improvement of blood viscosity
  • Improved circulation and oxygen supply
  • Activation of repair processes

BLUE – The blue laser is utilized against inflammatory processes because it is proven that it has very strong anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory effects.

  • Reduction of cholesterol, triglycerides and bilirubin
  • Improvment of immunologic activity
  • Enhancement of Nitric Oxide production which leads to better microcirculation
  • Activation of telomerase (anti-aging effects)
  • Wound healing
  • Improvement of oxygen utilization in the tissue

YELLOW

  • Mood-enhancing effects especially in combination with hypericin (natural antidepressant) by stimulation of serotonin and vitamin D metabolism
  • Therapy of panic attacks and anxiety disorder
  • Detoxifying effects

ULTRAVIOLET – UV light irradiation has the following effects that strengthen the immune system and thereby the whole organism:

  • Improves the oxygen absorption in tissue
  • Prevents the replication of viruses, bacteria and fungi
  • Prevents blood platelet aggregation
  • Improves blood circulation by dilating blood vessels
  • Improves the body’s ability to detoxify and eliminate toxins
  • Activates cortisone-like molecules (sterols) in vitamin
  • Restores normal size and mobility of lipid elements

Laser Light therapy has been observed to have the following effects:

  • Boosting cellular energy by increasing ATP production
  • Immune system stimulation
  • Improvement of microcirculation and reduction of blood viscosity
  • Activation of macrophages
  • Positive effects on the heart and metabolism
  • Improves the function, behavior and cell elasticity of red blood cells
  • Increases oxygen delivery
  • Activates reparative and stabilizing pathways
  • Releases Nitric Oxide
  • Decreases blood pressure
  • Reduces inflammation
  • Pathogen deactivation (effective against bacteria and viruses)
  • Detoxifying effects
  • Positive influence on the general mood with strong anti-depressive effects
  • Improves serotonin and Vitamin D production
  • Pain Relief
  • Positive effects on hormones
  • Activation of stem cells
  • Improved quality of sleep
  • Improved general body performance
